What Are Wenwan Objects?
Wenwan is a Chinese tradition centered around objects that are appreciated not only for how they look, but also for how they feel, age, and change through repeated handling.
Certain Wenwan objects are held, rotated, rubbed, or simply enjoyed in the hand over time. Through regular use, natural materials may gradually develop a smoother surface, deeper color, and distinctive character.
For many people, Wenwan is part collecting, part tactile enjoyment, and part quiet daily ritual.
Rather than being something that is simply displayed, a Wenwan object can become increasingly personal through use.
Botanical & Herbal Aroma Bracelets
Herbal aroma bracelets bring together traditional Chinese herbal culture, incense craftsmanship, and the tactile beauty of Chinese bead traditions.
They are more than decorative accessories. Made from naturally aromatic woods, seeds, vines, herbs, and traditional fragrance blends, they are designed to be worn, held, and gently smelled throughout the day — turning fragrance into a quiet everyday ritual.
Two Traditional Forms
Natural Botanical Beads
Some bracelets are made directly from naturally aromatic or traditionally valued plant materials such as agarwood, sandalwood, cypress, red sandalwood, soapberry seeds, lotus seeds, and spatholobus vine.
Each material has its own texture, color, natural scent, and cultural meaning. With regular handling, many natural beads gradually develop a smoother surface and richer patina.
Blended Herbal Aroma Beads
Another tradition uses finely ground herbs, woods, flowers, and aromatic botanicals blended together and shaped by hand into fragrance beads.
Different ingredients create different scent profiles — some soft and calming, some fresh and uplifting, others warm, woody, floral, or deeply herbal.
Rather than relying on synthetic perfume, the character of these bracelets comes from the botanical materials and traditional fragrance-making process itself.
A Tradition Carried Forward
Herbal fragrance, incense beads, sachets, and aromatic objects have long been part of Chinese daily life and traditional aesthetics.
Today, herbal aroma bracelets bring these traditions into a modern form — combining natural materials, craftsmanship, fragrance, and the personal ritual of wearing an object that gradually changes with you.
Care
Keep the bracelet away from water, heavy perspiration, and prolonged direct sunlight. When not in use, store it in a dry cloth pouch or sealed container in a cool place to help preserve its natural aroma.
Over time, the surface may develop a deeper tone and smoother patina, giving each bracelet its own individual character.
A small piece of nature carried on the wrist — part accessory, part fragrance ritual, and part connection to traditional Chinese botanical culture.
Mountain Tea & Floral Infusions
From the Mountains of China
Our teas come from remote mountain regions of Southwest and South China, where tea grows slowly among forests, streams, mist, and changing mountain weather.
Rather than chasing perfectly uniform leaves, we value character, origin, and the natural taste of the land.
Wild Mountain Tea
Some of our teas come from naturally growing tea trees scattered through forests, beside streams, wildflowers, moss, and native vegetation.
These are not conventional rows of plantation tea. Local pickers travel into the mountains during spring and hand-pick tender leaves in small quantities.
Because the trees grow in a natural environment, the leaves may vary in shape and appearance. Once crafted into white or black tea, however, they can develop a remarkably mellow character — with notes that may suggest ripe fruit, honey, damp forest, and the freshness of the mountains.
High-Mountain Tea Gardens
We also work with small mountain farms at elevations of approximately 800–1,200 meters.
These older tea gardens are managed with a lighter touch: weeds are removed by hand, other plants are allowed to grow between tea rows, and mountain water is used where possible.
The cooler climate and greater difference between day and night allow the leaves to grow more slowly, producing fuller-bodied teas with gentle bitterness and a lingering natural sweetness.
Floral Tea — Scented With Real Flowers
Our floral teas are made with freshly harvested jasmine, osmanthus, rose, or other seasonal blossoms.
Fresh flowers and tea are layered together so the leaves can slowly absorb their aroma. During the process, the tea is carefully turned, cooled, and rested before the faded flowers are removed.
Depending on the flower and weather, this traditional scenting process may be repeated several times.
No artificial fragrance is needed — the aroma comes from the flowers themselves.
When brewed, the fragrance is soft and natural rather than overpowering, while the tea remains clear, balanced, and gently sweet.
Why These Teas Are Different
Small batches, mountain origins, hand harvesting, and traditional processing mean these teas are not designed for mass production.
Each batch reflects its season, landscape, flowers, and craftsmanship.
A cup of tea from the mountains is more than a drink — it carries a little of the mist, forests, flowers, and quiet rhythm of the place where it was made.
Signature Herbal Coffee
Coffee, Reimagined With Chinese Herbal Wisdom
The idea behind our herbal coffee began with a simple question:
Can a daily cup of coffee be more than just a quick source of energy?
We wanted to create something that still tastes like a genuinely good cup of freshly brewed coffee, while bringing traditional Chinese botanical thinking into a modern everyday ritual.
Coffee Comes First
At its heart, this is real coffee.
We use high-altitude Yunnan Arabica beans, grown in the mountainous regions of Southwest China and roasted to a medium-dark profile.
The result is smooth, full-bodied, and balanced, with notes of roasted nuts and dark chocolate and very little of the sharp acidity sometimes associated with lighter roasts.
We believe the herbal ingredients should never overwhelm the coffee itself. The aroma, body, and character of the beans remain at the center of every cup.
Our Original Herbal Formula
What makes this coffee different is our own botanical formula, inspired by traditional Chinese herbal culture.
Selected plant-based ingredients are thoughtfully combined with coffee to create a layered drinking experience — familiar at first sip, but with a subtle herbal character that develops alongside the roasted aroma.
Rather than turning coffee into a medicinal drink, our goal is to create a modern beverage inspired by an older idea: that what we drink each day can also be approached with greater care, balance, and intention.
A Different Kind of Coffee Ritual
This coffee was created for people who enjoy coffee not only for stimulation, but also for its aroma, preparation, warmth, and the quiet moment around the cup.
It brings together two traditions from Yunnan and Chinese culture — coffee grown in the mountains and the long history of using botanicals in everyday life.
A familiar cup of coffee, reimagined through a distinctly Chinese botanical perspective.
